Digital printing—also known as Direct to Film (DTF) or Direct to Garment (DTG)—is a modern method of printing that allows for unlimited colours, photo-realistic detail, and very low minimum order quantities, making it a great option for short runs or one-off designs. However, while it offers flexibility and vibrant results, it does not have the same durability as screen printing or embroidery and tends to fade, crack, or peel more quickly after washing.
For this reason, it’s not recommended for uniforms or workwear. Instead, digital printing is ideal for casual, short-term use such as pub crawls, bucks parties, single-day events, birthdays, and novelty merchandise. While it's often used for merch, screen printing remains the better long-term choice—ensuring your design stays intact, helps build brand awareness, and encourages future sales, as no one wants to repurchase merch that wears out too quickly.
